Child safety rules

These Rules explain how parents, legal representatives, teachers, organisations, and the LARNES owner protect a child when using the family workspace, assignments, programmes, and classroom devices. They do not replace emergency services, family duties, or school rules.

01

How LARNES currently works

  1. LARNES is a software platform, not a social network, emergency service, or education provider. It does not conduct video classes or replace supervision by a parent, teacher, or organisation.

  2. A child has no standalone adult-style account with login and password. The child profile exists inside family and learning workspaces.

  3. The product has no child–teacher chat or direct messages, child photo or video uploads, video calls, or lesson recording.

02

A short version for a child

  1. Five main rules:

    • be kind and do not humiliate others;
    • do not share a password, OTP, home address, phone number, or links to your profiles;
    • no one should ask you to keep a conversation secret, send private pictures, move to a secret chat, or do something dangerous;
    • if you feel scared, uncomfortable, or unsure, stop and tell an adult you trust;
    • in immediate danger call 112; free and anonymous psychological help is available at 8-800-2000-122 or 124 from a mobile phone.
  2. A good-faith safety report is not misconduct. A child must not be punished for asking for help.

  3. Do not investigate a dangerous situation yourself, argue with the suspected person, or forward prohibited imagery again.

03

When these Rules apply

  1. The Rules cover child profiles, homework, programmes, classroom and kiosk use, QR codes, invitations, learning data, and reports connected with LARNES.

  2. An adult user explains these requirements to the child in age-appropriate language. A child viewing this page does not independently accept a legal document.

  3. Child-data consent, the Terms, and organisation agreements are separate and are not replaced by these Rules.

04

Respect and dignity

  1. Bullying, humiliation, threats, blackmail, stalking, discrimination, sexualised approaches, abusive nicknames, and disclosure intended to shame a child or adult are prohibited.

  2. A mistake, low result, health condition, appearance, origin, language, family, or financial position must not be used for ridicule or pressure.

  3. Teachers and organisation staff communicate professionally, do not threaten grades or exclusion, and do not require a child to hide an interaction from a legal representative.

05

Adult–child boundaries

  1. An adult must not ask a child for a personal or intimate image, video, location, home address, password, OTP, payment data, or account access.

  2. A child must not be drawn into secret messaging, an unapproved personal meeting, gifts or payments, dangerous acts, prohibited substances, violence, self-harm, or sexual conduct.

  3. Learning administration is addressed to the adult family or organisation contact. A child must not be asked to move to a private messenger to evade adult oversight.

06

Child profile and access

  1. A child profile contains data needed for family and learning use. It is not a public page or indexed social profile.

  2. A child opens an exercise through an adult interface or a temporary classroom session after scanning a personal QR code. The adult password need not be shared.

  3. Name, birth date, learning history, and family or group association must not be shown to strangers or used for public child ranking.

07

Family access

  1. Adults connected to a family may receive access to child data in that workspace. Only known and trusted adults should be invited.

  2. A family label such as mother, father, grandmother, or grandfather describes an interface relationship but does not itself prove legal-representative authority or permission to consent for a child.

  3. After loss of trust, a guardianship change, or mistaken invitation, the family owner stops that adult's access and contacts the operator if this cannot be done directly.

08

Teacher and organisation access

  1. A connected teacher or organisation sees only learning and operational data needed for group, schedule, assignment, attendance, result, and agreed accounting purposes.

  2. A teacher or employee must not copy child data into personal spreadsheets, messengers, or clouds without a lawful ground and an organisation-approved secure process.

  3. The organisation manages staff access, promptly disables former or reassigned staff, and is responsible for lawfulness of data it uploads.

09

Communication inside the platform

  1. LARNES has no built-in chat, direct messages, calls, or contact exchange between a teacher and child.

  2. A teacher assigns structured homework and a title. A child completes exercises without free-form messaging to the teacher; state and progress, rather than a conversation, are stored.

  3. An assignment title, CRM note, or other adult field must not transmit threats, advertising, personal contacts, prohibited information, or bypass the absence of chat.

10

Contacts and secrets

  1. A task, note, title, link, or displayed screen must not contain a child's home address, personal phone, email, messenger account, location, route, unnecessary external schedule, or document image.

  2. Passwords, OTPs, child QR codes, and invitations are secret. LARNES staff, teachers, and administrators must not ask for a password or OTP.

  3. If a contact or secret is exposed, the adult ends the session, revokes the link or QR code, changes the password where needed, and reports the incident.

11

Dangerous and prohibited information

  1. No material may encourage suicide or self-harm, violence, cruelty, drugs, dangerous conduct, or unlawful acts.

  2. Child sexual exploitation and pornographic, extremist or terrorist material, obscene language, harm instructions, and other information prohibited for children by Article 5 of Federal Law No. 436-FZ are forbidden.

  3. Material limited to a particular age must not be assigned to a younger child without legally required classification and access restriction.

12

Assignments and programmes

  1. Built-in trainers use structured actions: selections, numbers, steps, and prepared material. A child does not publish a free-form answer to other users.

  2. The teacher is responsible for a title they create and a programme they select and checks age, learning purpose, and group suitability before assignment.

  3. Hidden advertising, humiliating child comparisons, dangerous experiments, purchase demands, and links to unreviewed external resources are not learning assignments.

13

Images, video, audio, and recording

  1. A child does not upload personal images, video, or audio to LARNES; prepared avatars are used for profiles.

  2. LARNES does not conduct video lessons or record a child's image, voice, or screen.

  3. If a school or teacher records through an external tool, it independently determines the lawful ground, notice, access, retention, and deletion. LARNES use is not consent to such recording or publication.

14

Camera and microphone

  1. In classroom mode, the camera is used only to recognise a QR code and open an authorised child session.

  2. The child flow does not use the microphone. Trainer sounds play from prepared audio files and do not record the child.

  3. A QR code must not appear in a public stream, classroom photo, or open chat because a stranger receiving it may try to open a child session.

15

Shared classroom device

  1. Before passing a tablet or computer to the next child, the teacher ends the current child session and checks that the prior child's name, exercise, and progress are no longer visible.

  2. An adult password must not be saved on a shared device, the family workspace left open, or device administrator rights given to a child.

  3. If a device is lost or transferred, the organisation stops its classroom access, revokes related tokens, and reports potential data exposure.

16

QR codes and invitations

  1. An invitation link or personal QR code is sent only to the intended recipient through an adult-selected safe channel. It must not be published on an open page or in a public group.

  2. Before accepting, the recipient checks who created the invitation, which family, teacher, or organisation it connects, and whether the connection is expected.

  3. A mistaken, exposed, or unnecessary invitation or QR code should be revoked or regenerated.

17

Communication outside LARNES

  1. LARNES creates invitation links but does not automatically send them or monitor personal calls, meetings, or external messaging among schools, teachers, and families.

  2. A school, centre, or teacher is independently responsible for the lawfulness and safety of its external channel, legal-representative involvement, and professional boundaries.

  3. If a person connected through LARNES asks a child for secret messaging, a private meeting, contacts, images, or dangerous conduct, the child stops and tells a trusted adult; the adult may also report it to LARNES.

18

How to report a concern

  1. Use the dedicated action in the parent, teacher, or organisation workspace, the mobile app, or the classroom button that accepts categories without free text.

  2. Include date and time, page or feature, family or organisation, affected account, and a short description. Do not send a password, OTP, full payment number, or excessive child data.

  3. Do not download or forward child sexual exploitation material or other clearly illegal imagery. Report the URL, object ID, location, and discovery time; evidence is preserved through a safe process.

  4. The concern enters the operator's restricted queue. The alleged person is not notified automatically; notification is considered only after assessing child risk.

19

When urgent help is needed

  1. For an immediate threat to life or health, violence, a missing child, or a crime in progress, call 112; if police are urgently required, call 102. Do not wait for LARNES.

  2. The LARNES safety queue is monitored by the operator during working hours and is not a 24/7 emergency service.

  3. The Russian child helpline is 8-800-2000-122 from any phone or 124 from a mobile phone. Calls are free, anonymous, and available around the clock.

  4. If the suspected person is a parent or another adult at home, the child may contact another trusted adult, 112/102, or the child helpline and need not first tell that person.

20

What LARNES may do

  1. After actually receiving a report, the operator assesses its LARNES connection, urgency, child risk, and minimum necessary action. LARNES does not conduct criminal investigations or replace police, guardianship authorities, schools, or medical help.

  2. Within technical capabilities and the Terms, the operator may end a session, revoke a token or invitation, restrict account access, hide or remove available material, and notify a family or organisation owner where safe.

  3. Information is provided to a competent authority where legally required or justified by a threat. Report confidentiality is limited by child protection and legal duties.

21

Minimum evidence and data

  1. A safety case records source and time, affected accounts or objects, risk category, decision, action, notifications, and responsible person.

  2. Only necessary data is collected. Incident access is restricted, copies are not multiplied, and retention depends on event category, law, legal hold, and the approved retention schedule.

  3. A good-faith reporter is protected from retaliation. Knowingly false accusations, fabricated evidence, or using a report for bullying violates these Rules.

22

Age suitability

  1. Before information is made available to a child, its content is assessed under Federal Law No. 436-FZ and assigned an appropriate age category.

  2. A child's age, school year, and exercise difficulty are not automatic legal content classification. Classification depends on content, presentation, and potential impact.

  3. Changed material, external sources, and doubtful content are reassessed before child assignment, with access restricted pending the result.

  4. The registry uses 0+, 6+, 12+, 16+, and 18+ categories and records the reviewer, date, rationale, and version digest. An uncovered or changed programme is not shown to a child.

23

Health and accessibility

  1. An adult chooses session length and breaks for the child's age, health, and professional advice. LARNES does not diagnose or replace medical advice.

  2. A child may stop an exercise upon pain, fear, serious discomfort, fatigue, or feeling unwell and tell an adult.

  3. A developmental or accessibility need must not disclose a diagnosis to the whole group or justify humiliation or denial of reasonable help.

24

Responsibilities

  1. The legal representative decides on the child profile and access, explains safety, manages invited adults, and helps the child report concerns.

  2. The teacher maintains professional boundaries and checks assignments and data visibility. The organisation checks staff, devices, external channels, processing grounds, and complaint handling.

  3. LARNES is responsible for its service, access controls, built-in content, and received reports within its role. Allocation of duties does not remove a child's legal rights.

25

New features and rule changes

  1. Before adding chat, video classes, recording, child uploads, public profiles, or new external services, LARNES separately assesses risk, lawful ground, age, moderation, reporting, and retention.

  2. A new feature is not covered by prior child-profile consent or these Rules merely because it appears in the same product.

  3. A material change is issued as a new version. Adults see new terms before the affected child feature is used.
